hey all,
as you know i have recently got a set of VRX 17x 7 TJ series 2 rims..
took the passenger side front off too change the CV boot and noticed the tyre is rubbing against the inside gaurd.. i have also noticed my driver's side does it intermittently when the suspension compresses while turning(always at ~ full steering lock)
anyone else noticed this? aesemte? killbilly? and now JellMag..
i have 225 50's on the rims and the speedo is accurate to within 2km
so... anyone? had the same experience..
cheers all :)

Nothing :shifty:.... Well i have an 8 inch wide rim so it's ok, but the vrx rims are only 7 inch wide which is bad. But i know people still do it so meh, i don't really care :). As for scrubbing, my 16's scrubbed a little bit on full lock and they were from a KH verada i think.

at first i didnt notice this which was good, although when i replaced the shocks and springs i know get it on the drivers side at full lock and when being compressed, like on a small hill or kerb or something. My tyres are also the 225/50.
It is true about the 235/50, they are "illegal" for the width of these rims, although so many tyre store are suprised by this and actually offer the 235/50's. If i had the chance again, i would have gone with the 235/50, because even though they are illegal, they are often cheaper, and show less tyre :D

with 45 profile the wheel diameter is virtually the same
at 100 Kp/h the speedo will read 99.8 K/ph

Mine does rub occasionally. My next set of tyres will be 45 profile. I rectified the rubbing against the inner plastic by cutting it all away lol.
