Hi,

Need some advice on keyless entry controllers; are they interchangeable (I know that they have to be programmed to each vech) from TE onwards? I used to have a KH Ei (2000) Verada Wagon, I noticed it had a different controller design than the TE (1997) Magan Exec: Different shape with Red/Green buttons for the Verada compared to smaller shape all grey buttons for the Magna?

Both the controllers I have for the TE are cactus, the plastic key loop at snapped and the boot release button is destroyed on the other. Can any help me out on this?

Cheers Bakes

1. There is no point making two threads.
2. If they look different (in design) then no.

There are tons on ebay, but they're all for TH+, will not work for TE-TF. Have a look nonetheless, there might be a second hand one to suit TE/TF, but as MAGNA said, if it looks different, it won't work.

I have a TF, the loop bit that goes around the keyring snapped on my remote. Easy fix though: A 2cm length of cable tie to cross the gap, and 50 cents worth of superglue. Did it a couple months ago, it's still holding together brilliantly.

I was going to just get a new one from Mitsubishi until i found out they're something like $60 + additional fees for programming

I had the same thing happen to me.

But instead i'm just going to buy a car alarm with 2 controllers.

It will work out about the same price as replacing the factory ones. But i also get an alarm :D
