i was just reading through forums and read that the standard loom power cabling in my 92 tr 2.6 magna wasnt sufficient to power the H/U properly.. now my JVC runs fine off it, but what kind of difference will it make if i run 4mm wiring to battery and acc?

None, except for mabye at very high volume, if you use the HU as an amp that is.

my rears are running through an amp but fronts are off the headunit, do you think ill get slightly more volume out of the fronts?

it wont do much, it'll just supply more current to the h/u
its up to whether you do it or not
but i dont see much point of doing it as h/u normally run fine with the giving power supply thats already on the harness
you wont notice much gain if you do it

Seeing as its only a small internal amp it wont draw much current even at peak, so yeah upgrading would be useless :)

would it help to have thicker wiring at power and acc when i upgrade to a 4ch to run my fronts and rears? or would that not make a difference?

For your HU....no...
For your amp, yes, try and go as large as possible, try 4ga minumum

yeah thats what i have on my 2ch at the moment, so ill just rewire it to use that for the 4ch

yeah mate just pretty much just do a straight swap seen as the wires are already there
the only thing that you will have to do is run some extra speaker wires for the speakers that are running off the h/u and your done

']try 4ga minumum

seening as there is only 1 amp 8ga power will be fine but if you intend on adding another amp thats when you go to a 4ga minimum
and yes i already know he has 4ga in his car

Most people upgrade sooner or later, so i try and tell them to go 4ga from the start, when i tell them 2ga is almost $20 a meter they alwasy go for 4ga lol

haha thats enough to make anyone think twice :)

what difference does it make whether im running one power wire to one amp or two power wires to two amps? or would you ever power two amps off single power from the battery?

you run a thicker cable from the battery and then usually split it into 2 smaller pieces...

and well if you doing comps i think they run seperate power wires anyway so i guess it doesnt matter

that would definitely be neater, thanks for clearing that up

in this case you normally run 4ga from the battery to a disturbution block then it splits into two 8ga wires that then go to each amp
as for the comps well if you wanna go into that then i will say hello to your 0ga bro :D.
