How's it going everyone :D
I'm interested in putting the parker lights into the high beam section of the parras.
Now, any ideas on doing this?
The simplest way I'd say would be drilling a hole at the back of the headlight, big enough to accomodate and clip in the parker light and bulb.
I think this would look really good at night as you'll have the headlights on and the high beam section will be luminated as well. Like on some late model mercedes benz.

yea i wanted to do this, bmw's have em like that..
only way i could see was to open up the headlight and drill a hole into the chrome bit, but i didnt want the chrome part to start peeling, so i never attempted it..

No he doesn't, he has his low beams and hi beams swapped around but not his parkers.

So it's just a simple drill and seal with silicon and you're done? :D

Dunno about the US / chrome surround ones, but the Jap / KS ones don't. Unless I've missed something, but the backs appeared to be near identical to the stock ones.
iVE DONE IT BY DRILLING INTO THE REAR OF THE SURROUND ON VERADA PARAS WITHOUT A HITCH- AND AM DOING IT NEXT WEEKEND ON MY TE 96 EXEC- LOOKS GREAT

Depending on whether the 2nd gen park globe holder is the same as the 3rd gen (can't be stuffed checking atm), you should only have to drill a hole big enough to push the holder in so it fits snug and the shape of it will stop it falling into to the headlight assembly. Therefore, no silicon needed. I did this on mine but put the parker into the indicator assembly instead.

What kind of drill have you got and what drill bit did you use if you don't mind me asking :D

Well I have a Ryobi 600w impact drill and used a 10mm drill bit that came with it. However it takes barely any effort to drill through the plastic and I ended up having to make the hole a bit bigger by scraping the sides of the plastic with the drill bit itself. I didn't have a bigger drill bit available. I'd probably use a 11 or 12mm. I then used a vacuum cleaner to get all the plastic shreds out of the assembly.
Is there any chance water could get into the headlight without using silicone?
