well pretty much got my system put in ages ago and when i first got it back and turned the car off the system will still play for 20 seconds or so..
its been doing this ever since and doesnt bother me or anything but im just wondering why it does it at all?
and would it be bad for the battery?
cheers.

hmmmm strange
what deck do you have?
try resetting the deck to see if it changes anything
the deck must have the timeout turned on

Pretty sure there's a power wire that does this in some magnas, i know the 2nd gens had it. You can re-wire the headunit so that it doesn't do it anymore. 20 seconds of music won't flatten your battery.

yeah im gonna go with what M4DDOG said, sounds like what most magnas do as soon as you turn the car off, you get about 20 seconds to use the accessorys, but normally shuts off as soon as you open and close the drivers door

I used to have it in my TR and mates used to think it was cool  . So i just left it as is, if anyone asks just say it's like a turbo timer only for your stereo, helps cool it down lol.
