Yeh i've used it,
Tip no.1 - make sure it doesnt run.
Tip no.2 - dont touch it till u know its dry. e.g. no testing.
Tip no.3 - use primer.
Tip no.4 - lots of coats.
Tip no.5 - use a good metallic shine finish.
And make sure its weather proof!!!

I attempted to turn my advance front grill into a chrome one....... looked ok to begin with apart from the runs, but now it is terrible, really patchy coz it wasnt weather proof..... and no primer.... so yeh.

yea I thought of that, i'd only do it if I could find one with a high temp rating (like 1000 Degrees or something like that) otherwise I'll just go with a silver and try gloss it up abit lol

chrome paint doesnt look chrome one bit. Ive got a can here and it looks like silver. I've heard there is a company in the states that makes a chrome paint that really does resemble chrome. But it costs like $50 a can.

BINGO!
I was gonna spray my letterbox grill with it.. and it came out dodgy as all hell.. So yeah.. It's a waste of time!
It doesn't even come close to chrome!

the "chrome"paint is more a bright silver
and if you want it to stay that way you have to clearcoat it
nearly all chrome paints are enamel so you just need an enamel can of clear
it does look good though
Gut it's not chrome

All "chrome" paint that comes in a rattle can... don't bother, I've tried them all.
The only thing that comes even close is made by "AlcladII" for modellers.
Its like metalflake suspended in a lacquer; you paint it over gloss black.
Price is like ~$20 for a tiny little bottle (like nail varnish size)
found only at very good model shops.
Alternately more model shops can sell you "Bare Metal Foil" which is metal foil
with a sticky backing which can be rubbed onto any surface you want.
Either one, if you prepped the surface right and apply a few coats of clear lacquer
over them they can be pretty tough-wearing; we use them for RC models.
