even tho the power rating is good but it might be a fake
the amp might even over heat and set your boot on fire

IIRC Someone was looking at something similar last week for around $40 or somethinig. A couple of people said not to and get a higher quality amp. They also said not to bother as it was in Asia and the postage would be phenominal.
"EDIT" As Mr_roberto said, on the other thread they also said that it could over heat and catch fire, not good.

It sais its 6x1000W on the actuall amp wich probably 166W per channel  and i doubt that would be in RMS.

It says just over 90wrms per channel, which is a very poor amount of power loss, it will probably go loud but i wouldn't expect much clean power.

Does that mean a $5 sucky sucky is only half as good as a $10 sucky sucky? :P.
Generally this is a good rule to live by, but jaycar gear i'd have to argue is definitly good bang for buck, excuse the pun :D.

I wouldn't Purchase that amp. on the box it only says its an "A Class Amp" wich means very basic circutry and very unefficient. I work with car audio and have found that cheaper brands that promise a lot of power dont tend to function for too long.

I purchased a cheap amp, a soundstorm 4 xchannel that says it puts out 100watt rms per channel at 4 ohms, its lucky to put out 50watt rms into 4 ohms cleanly. It was just for a mate for a set of splits, so 100watt rms x 2 is perfect, and for $150 posted brand new he couldn't care less, they are just a set of the yellow kevlar pioneer splits, does the job. I can't wait for my mcintosh to come in the mail.
Now thats exotic quality ;) haha no chinese crap there

i highly doubt this is an "A Class" Amplifier, nothing wrong with them if it was, but i highly doubt it from a cheap amplifier, Class A amplifiers are less efficient, but never the less, they produce extremely lower distortion than Class AB, B or D
Audiophiles purchase extremely expensive class A amplifiers that put out like 50watt continuous average output power with THD at something insane like 0.0005% THD at rated power, all channels driven
never the less about power consumption it doesn't matter when your in a car your not paying for electrical power in current that is drawn like from an AC source at home....what does it matter
