hi everyone, i have a silver TE magna. with some scratches here and there as it has never been repainted ever. umm


So my question is, how much is complete paint job for a magna roughly?

whats a respray? and shud i get a touch up on all the scratches how much duz that normally cost.. thanks in advance :D

The guy who does my paintwork will do a full body spray for $3k any color and a complete touch up of all scratches for $300. He is the cheapest guy i could find in the ACT without knowing anyone in the industry. Though I'm sure people on here would probably be able to get things done cheaper due to connections and what not.

Best idea if you dont know anyone in industry is to ring around and make places beat quotes you have from other places. Smaller places are also great as they have less overheads and are more likely to try and undercut their larger competitiors.

Just my 2c on the subject. I also got a $300 color code for my skirts, door mould and mirrors which seems to be the average price around here. Got quoted up to $900 from other places though.

Silver Leaf?
Expect to pay a little more if you have the metallic silver as they need to do more work (blend panels)

yeah silver leaf is evil paint (trust me i know its what i'm spraying my kit with) if its not blended then it doesn't look right and its got 2 metalic flakes in it

Well ill just touch up then, my car isnt worth spending 3k of paint on :D also another question. can those Grey stock TE sideskirts be painted to blend in with the rest of the car... it looks gay in grey color.. i want it all silver since im gonna try get some 19 inch chrome wheels

that looks pimp, what tint do u hav.. is the chrome tint illegal... if it is i might get really dark black

Mine is silver colorcoded and just got 19" wheels yesturday. Will post some pics up soon if you interested to see what yours might come out like.

I dont have chrome tint, simply black- not very dark either.
Chrome tint however i believe is illegal- check up on that though (in SA it is illegal)
