Well in between Saturdays qualifying and Sundays race i intend to replace the water pump on the old girl (EFI TP SE for those of you who cant remember) What i would like to know are there any tricks? I will replace the thermostat at a later date its just that the water pump shagged itself a while ago and now i have to fill it up everyday - sometimes twice a day! The guy said there was something that could only be replaced when the water pump was off and i may as well do that while i was there but i didnt know for sure.

I am assuming that all you do is unbolt it and stick the new housing on then bolt the thing back on - all in all shouldnt take more than an hour eh? possibly after a bit of  :tantrum: it might take only two.

Its pretty easy,
Just make sure you label the smaller hoses on the back so you replace them correctly.
Check the condition of all the hoses and Drain the water/coolant via the bottom of the radiator (the lowest point in the cooling system) and replace the water so as you get the right mix of coolant, check the level after its been running with the thermostat open for few minutes.
Because the diameter of the water pump pulley is so small its wise to replace the belt as well.

Cheers
