Hey guys,

I have a 1985 Magna GLX 4 cyl. stock standard.
I just had to have a plate welded to the bottom of the inlet manilfold because of a bad water leak.
I did it all myself except the welding and it's all gone pretty well.
One thing though, the ECO light on the dash stays on all the time. I know it's the Fuel Pacer Indicator and checks how economical everything is running but i can't work out why it's staying on. The car itself is running fine but I don't want to chew through the gas.
Any clues.

Check the vacumn line to it to make sure its still connected. Its just a switch the works on vacumn. No vac light on.

Have you hooked the wiring back up? Often people forget to reconect things and that will cause warning lights to illuminate. Just a thought.

Hey we had the same car - the eco light stayed on the whole time as well - aparently though i was told that the eco light on those basically was over sensitive and everyone just unplugged them - most 85ish magnas that i have seen (carby ones) either have the eco light illuminated or unplugged..

thats my take on it anyway..
