Replaced the springs and shockers but the old rubber strip that sits between the strut and spring fell apart when I tried to remove it from the old strut to the new one.
At the moment it is metal spring to metal strut without the rubber strip in between and everything seems alright.
Do you think I really have to replace it, keeping in mind it would mean a trip to Mitsu to get them then disassemble the struts again:cry:

yeah, your car will survive without it!! some or the reasons are that it isolates the spring and there is less noise and shock transfered.... proably tons more... i did about 20k without them in a car of mine as they fell off cos i chopped the springs too far....
