Can anyone point me in the right direction to the best brand ignition lead for a magna?
I have heard top gun red are good, would these be most peoples choice? Ideas and info welcome. Thanks!

i think you will find the factory leads to be better than top gun, i had custom 10mm leads made for a car once using top gun leads, and when tested buy the auto lekky the 7mm bosh super inductive core leads that were on the old ign system were apparently much better... i'd say bosh, but the mitsu lead sets are costly

I have champion steel leeds and they are good, although NGK steel ones might be better
steel are better then the general and basic leads you can buy

you car get top gun spiral wire leads 8.0mm for pretty cheap, and they piss on the bosch ones i had, and where only 2 months old, never buy off the pick it your self racks at auto shops same reasons as you don't buy the oil that is sat outside servos

I called Mitsu they said $130 for Origionals I might just stick with them. I know most 6 cyl cars cost between $50 and $90 so the little bit extra may be justifyed as the origionals have lasted me well over 140k.

Im not too good with this shizzle....But whats the difference between them all? like bosch, top gun, and the ones KB mentioned? Is it the thickness of the wire? or is there alot more factors in this? And is it a notciable difference between lets say bosch ones and a set worth $150?
find a place that makes custom leads. i got some made for my rx7 for $50. the same leads in a shop would have been about $200.
You will have to give them the lengths that u require, and whether u need 90degree or straight fittings. easiest way is to take your car down and get them to do it on the spot.

Yea I got a quote for magnacore ages ago they wanted like $230 for the heaps thick custom ones haha I doubt I would spend that $$ unless I had serious mods. I just stick with the Mitsu ones, (hmm wonder if i should renew the distributor cap while im at it?)

Leads are leads guys, get whatever fits and is cheapest.
You just need to be careful with the cheaper ones as they can sometimes losen the internal crimps which connect the lead to the socket for the spark plug. Just dont pull them off with the lead, pull them by the socket and you will have them for years.
EDIT: they are a bit like spark plugs. Someone goes and fits new superdooper leads to his car and notices his car runs so much better and drives nicer. Meanwhile it was just a case that his old leads were faulty and ANY set of new leads, expencive or cheap, will have had the same effect/increase on the engine.

RPW has been using both the Top Gyn units in a Heavy Duty Option, running a set of these on my magna now and the work great, and there reasonably priced. Better qaulity than Mitsubishi geniune I beleive and they work well. I have also used the replacement bosch ones as well, but it worked out that the TOP GUN HD replacement ones were just better value for money.
Going up to the larger 8.8 or 10mm units to be honest is of no benefit really to a street car.
