hey all,

just a quickie.. my rear windscreen brake light isnt working.. however, all the other ones are (spoiler, and the 2 tail lights)... how do i fix this?

i got the same thing but my boot light isn't working either so check yours

Have you checked the globe..?? Sounds like a globe has gone..:P

go into ur car , in the back

romove the connectiosn for rear window with a special tool
once rmoved check the rear bake and too see if the globe has blown

hope this help, i know this because, i removed my rear window bake light, since i had 4 brake light when i 1st got the car

I might be wrong but I thought that light didn't work if you have a spoiler as you only need 3...

If the car came from factory with spoiler then it wont have one.. Will only have both if spoiler was fitted after factory..:)

yeah thats sound like what mine is, the last owner of my car must've broud a after factory spoiler

lol i told you that when you first bought the car :P.
If it has blown a globe just leave it, you're only suppose to have the 1 mid-mounted brake light anyway and it looks alot better.

thanks everyone.. i dunno if the spoiler came aftermarket or not.. every other "XS Tourer" model i have seen has had a spoiler on it.. and also has the rear brake light.. so its beyond me.. it doesnt bother me if it works or not.. just wanna know how to fix it of i ever had to.. will check the globe when i work out how to do that..

Got the standard executive one in the rear windshield, as well as a multi-globe one in the Talon spoiler...

Never really thought about it before, is it that bad??

Mine doesnt work either, tried fixing it but the whole connection bit is burnt so i'd need a new one of those and a globe. I think it looks fine with just 2 brake lights.

ADR's say only 1 mid mounted brake light, doubt you'd get pulled up on it unless the cop was a real prick. I just reckon it looks horrible anyway.

Haha I got 4 aswell. Except my original is up in the ceiling. I'm too lazy to disconnect it. Besides, the more lights a got at the back the more chance a driver behind will see me brake. I hate being behind old P.O.S with only one or no brake lights!!:nuts:
