im thinking of doing this on the weekend
i've pulled the indicator out to have a look at it to see if theres any way of opening it and taking out the orange lens inside then buying some clear globes that flash orange
any info would be great
cheers rob

*EDIT* i might even give it a shot tomorrow cause i cant wait till the weekend :)

i think 380 clear indicators would fit tls, they fit TE's only 11 50 each worth asking about, just ring up your mitsi dealer,as for globes,i wanted to get blue globes but they are ilegal and i would hate to have a yellow sticker, ask bout which globes are legal etc at your auto store
or you can be like the otha magnas around the place and be sneaky and get away wit it,post up pics wen ya get em mate!

I don't think the 380 indicators will fit unfortunately. On TL's they are triangularish (it is so a word) and recessed, as compared to the oval shape of the 380 ones.

I'd keep them orange and see whether you can fit an additional side presence globe (T10) in there for that Volvo look.

Nah they won't fit, TL's have completely different indicators to the rest of the third gen family (and even 2nd gens!).

Just an example of what i'm talking about, it sits flush with the panel/bumper, moulded in between.

Get a set of spares and have a crack at tinting them the same colour as the rest of the car.......may be easier than trying to make them clear.

Hey Rob, good to see your having a crack at what you said you wanted to do. I'd definatly pick up a spare set just in case.

If they doesn't work out maybe try what Gas_Head suggested and tint/light spray it silver the match the car...

I had a look at doing this in the past and it didnt look too easy. If you have success though I'm interested.

These would look so awesome if they were clear. I really dislike how out of place the orange looks on my car. I think I will be going down the tinting path v.soon, going to try and strip back a bit of the orange plastic to see what comes up then tint away.

Anyone know how much mitsu wants for the pair?

ok guys just an update
went into mitsubishi today to get a spare set of indicators and the wanted $17.80 each
i was like thats abit much for just an indicator
not only did it take the guy about 5mins to figure out what i was talking about so in the end i just pointed to my car as said the ones next to the tyre arch
then another guy said that 380 indicators fit TL's
so i just said thanks and walked out :D
might ring some wreakers and see what they've got
has anyone on here got a spare set laying around?
thanks for the tips so far guys as soon as i pick up another set of indicators i'll be having ago at making them clear
cheers rob

hmmmm i got some news today that i didnt want to hear
rang up a few wreckers and not one of them had a magna TL in stock
they said that they are too hard to get cause they are too new or something
any one know of anywhere else that will sell me cheap indicators before i go back to mitsubishi and pay their heavily marked up indicators

Hey man,

You should really look into mould making! Could really help you out.

I dont know of anyone yet with clear repeators for their TL, so maybe you can be the first.

Check out this link, or try searching "mould making" in google.
