your tacho wire is white, in a grey shielding.

goes from igniton coil, goes into the cabin, runs along (behind) the dash to your existing tacho in the instrument cluster. you'll find it either at the ignition coil or if you take your instument cluster out.

the current tacho counts negative pulses form the coil. jsut need to make sure that your new thingo does the same.
