I recently bought a pair of 60cm neon tubes to stick to the headliner (roof, cieling whatever) in my magna for no apparent reason. The main question here is how would the easiest way to attach them to my headliner? also it would be an added bonus if i didn't have to do much if any cutting, or if it was completely reversable, and if the cords were hidden?

Ive done this :D

Mine came with clips, so i got some really strong glue and stuck the clips to the roof linnig first, waited till they dried then put in my LED sticks....

or u could cut out a nice long line in ur roof lning and glue the clips to ur roof, whatever...

just a Q but why didn't u get the EL wire it wouldn't stick down as far as neons would and u wouldn't need to mod anything to get them to look ok

Three main reasons, i dont think they will be anywhere as bright as the neons, i would have to buy more than 1 packet, and that stuff is dam expensive, the places i've looked it's like $40-$50 for 2 meters and the neons were $25 a peice

what if u created like a half frame around the neons around the outside edge, so that they could only glow towards the middle? it would mean ppl werent staring at a neon, and would make the glow stand out a lil better!

i was thinkin of one of those night sky things 2day on the headliner :) tonnes of lil bulbs behind somethin, small holes in the sumthin, creates lotsa lil stars :) i'm sure theres an easy way to do it!

Ok :D
In my 1st Gen I had one end of the neon double side taped and screwed to the light in the middle, the power went through the lens and connected to where the bulb went so it was activated the same as the interior lights. The other end I first used a patch of Velcro but with time the carpet gave way from the lining so what I did was, using a large gauge curved sewing needle threaded some fishing line through the lining around the end of the neon and tied it up there.
So don’t use the Velcro and when you want to take the neon’s down just cut the fishing line and replace the lens.
