I got a TL AWD exhaust finally put on my AWD at Midas on thursday. It has the big tip on it, so I said change the tip, or at least point it down so it doesn't rub the bumper. So what did they do, they put it on (I had from the cat back for change over), said they moved the tip. I was in a rush, so I believed them and took off back to work. On Friday I had to run between camperdown and ryde all day, and I noticed they had not moved the tip, and it was melting my bumper!!!. Bad! It gets worse. I took it somewhere else to get a new tip on (whats the point going back to complete incompitents), and they said that the whole system had been pulled forward!! It was almost in contact with my rear suspension, and all the rubber mounts are on a 45-60 degree angle! The second company put a new tip on, and added a spacer after the cat to correct it.
Who did they screw this up? Is there normally a spacer there, that they didn;t bother to change over? Crazy. So, $65 to get it fitted badly, $85 for the new tip and spacer, plus $150 for the TL AWD VRX system back to the cat (which is a fine price for the system). Something tells me that was no bargin!!
On a side note, i got to look at the AWD system from underneath. Very nice
