View Full Version : Surging getz
Hey anyone here have any ideal why my car is surging?.It been doing it for the last 4 months.Hyundai have it in their workshop ,now for 4 times. It going back in this tuesday:rant: The 2nd time, they put on a new TPS.But did not fixed the problem:shock:
One thing I have noticed that if I have someone with me in the car,the car run better with 2 people on-board:nuts: Why is that?
I miss my old TN.

The AC compressor was playing up in out holden, causing it to surge, I guess you would call it, although it stopped as soon as the AC was off.

My brothers getz 1.6 manual also has a slight hessitation/surge. generally 2nd gear under high load. I put it down to poor mapping.

My car does it at between 20-100 km per hour,in all gears.

Handbrake on?
Check the auto fluid level.
i dont see how auto fluid could cause surging anyways.
maybe a broken lead thats earthing, clogged injector perhaps?
however, you say that the car runs better with more people in the car... that's rather interesting.
has the ecu logged a problem with a sensor?

I was told by the service shop that there is no problems with the ECU.

is it like your driving an old carby, and you put the foot into it a little too heavy and flood it for a second? if so, your computer needs reflashing.
Handbrake on?
No mate,not on:nuts:

yeah, i assume you dont drive it hard, but is that what it feels like? does it feel like the engine is flooding even when you are just touching the accellerator
