_x_FirEsTorM_x_ and myself have been busy over the last few days....

we've managed alright but ive ran into one problemo i cannot see an answer too..
at the back of the engine there are 2 brackets attached to the plenium and to the head, i have gotten the "Y" shape left bracket on, but the right bracket ("I" shape, closer to the cam gears) i just cant see where it would bolt onto?

i need some help realllllly soon as i dont know where the hell it goes, there just doesnt seem like room.

I sorta just need this bracket to go in and im on my way to having a car start
Just gotta get a few more pulleys on, 2 more belts, engine mount, polenium, air intake, drain/refill oil, back flush radiator, rocker covers back on, and yeah thats about it!

ZOMG i need some help sooooooooon can anyoneee help?

OMG also does anyone have a picture of the timing cover? like with bolts? I needa know which bolts it uses

when Ive finished a job- ie put it back together and have 5 spare bolts left mmmmmmmmmm.

there should be some holes above the rear manafold.

they look like twin piston callipers to me, very nice :D

BEHR - trust me, im an idot at this stuff, but its when you got some top blokes from AMC willing to come help it makes it so much easier, and i learn a thing or two along the way
Sharkie - hmm im sure i checked there and there were 2 holes but vertical....and that was on the very edge of the head, is it more in the centre of the head?

Hey mate i just went and had a look at that bracket on my engine for you.

Seems to go on the rear right hand side of the motor (if your looking at the motor in the engine bay from the front of the car). Bottom of it is attached somewhere down there (was hard to see where exactly though).
The top of it is attached by two bolts to the back of the fule injection or fuel rail or whatever u want to call it. Looks like you can't really put this bracket back on until you put your head and fuel rail back on.

actually.....the head and fuel rail are on!
Only the rocker cover goes on now which is why im stumped to its whereabouts, theres no room above the head of below it.....right.....ill sort this out somehow! *looks for his duct tape*

Also the fuel rail is in on either side of the intake manifold so i think your talking about the intake plenium?

Everythings back together!!!
The elation was only slightly lived as we discovered the new water pump gasket didnt take properly and leaked everywhere
*sigh* only spent 16 hours getting it together only for the pump to not take:rant:

So i have the fun job of taking everything off again, then fixing the gasket and putting it alll back on again!!! OH F**KEN JOY:rant:

Turned out to be the water bar...no biggy....

Started her up last night for a while and then took her down the road and back again just to see how she drove, i actually dont know as my dad wanted to drive it first:rant:
Oil pissed out everywhere but that was just becuase of the front rocker cover gasket, all good now

only thing was there is somehow water getting into the heads, there is no water present outside, leaking, but the front rocker cover gasket was covered in white almost foamy stuff, and there was a tiny bit down the bottom of the head mixed with some oil.

Taken out all the plugs and they are white? anyone know what that means?
She cranks over once, doesnt start, twice, doesnt start, 3rd time starts, but idles at 900rpm, then drops down to 500-600rpm, and goes back up etc.

Also while in reverse she shut off twice completly....
Ideas..?
