What type of gains can you see with extractors?
Other mods will include AFM mod and an M6 head.

not alot really, its more the fact these wont crack like 99% of the factory ones do, altho it will help along with the more things you do to the car ie cam, rest of the exhaust, ported head etc

actually, i forgot if you have a carby they will be a better setup then the silly factory one, a good cheap mod for carbys would be to get efi headers if not proper extractors

maybe a bit of extra acceleration, i noticed bugger all in the noise tho...
going on and expanding on what mad lante is saying...
try and think of things this way: there are 4 varibles that you can change in a motor. compression, capability, capacity and cam.
now obviously capacity you cant really change as the 2.6 cant be bored out or stroked too much more (more so it's not worth it)
capability means fueling, exhaust - as in are these systems capable of supplying fuel, or exhaust being freeflowing, etc (ie extractors, EFI or other carby, flowed head ports)
cam related to cam timings (ie durations, lift)
and compression is exactly that... compression of the cylinder.
increasing or changing one of those aspects without changing the others to match wont give you good results. changing many of them will give good results.
For example:
extractors alone = not too much benefit
extractors + cam (ie. exhaust valve opening sooner, with more duration and lift) = little bit better
extractors + other carby (ie weber) + cam (ie exhaust duration, lift increase & intake duration and lift increased) = even better!
top that off with a port & polished head that has had a few thou shaved off it to increase compression, adjust the timing, run it off premo to stop the motor pinigng and you'll be loving it :)
same goes for putting a cam into your motor... a cam alone will not instantly give you the power you want, infact it can hinder your power.
