Been awhile since last on due to work and family commitments...but should have a bit of time up my sleeve now just gave 4 weeks notice and going to a normal 38hr a week job.Anyway thought I might change the look of my dash today..so out came the silver and allen key screws and presto ! The gauge face itself is in a flat micro metallic and the surrounds sections are in high gloss.Just thought the allen keys would give an individual look.

Looks nice mate.

Ive been thinking of doing stuff like this to my car, however I dont think it would look all that good with leather interior etc looks classy, dont want to spoil it with a dodgy paint job if I **** it up.

Gauge surround , centre consol and middle dash section all spray with auto acrylic with a couple of coats of clear...it;s been painted for a while now and had the usual 3 kids in the car treatmnet and no scratches or chips. The gauge surround I painted Tuesday night with just a spray can of micro mettalic no clear because I wanted to separate the two pieces and not make it look like one section of silver plastic.Where it is it wont get touched anyway so it didn't really matter. So as far as chipping is concerned haven't even come close to being a problem. And by the way if you are going to use allen key screws you wil have to get ones that are no longer than 5mm or cut them down like I had to ,otherwise they will interfere with the gauges when placing back together.:)

Just saw this today ont he forums mate lol, thats pretty nice work bud. If u can can u PM me with the exact paint brands that u used for what part as i have been wanting to do this to my TF. Mine a;ready camed with the gauge surrounds painted in silver so i was thinking of doing the same for the central console. Great work on the car though mate. :)
