Hey everyone how are you all going ?
anyways, i picked up an S-type sub for cheap, and another mate gave me his 2 channel amp for free, so i thought i may aswell hook it up .
Now i have the sub and amp end all hooked up, i have the headunit out, the RCA plugs in the head unit, the power cable through the firewall, but i can't find where i need to connect the REM wire to.
I know i have to join it to another wire, but which wire? The only wires i see around there are all in the clip(in the back of the head-unit) ?
someone help me out please !

Yes the REM wire needs to be attached to the headunit. Your headunit should have a remote turn on wire attached to the loom and this needs to hook into the rem connection on your amp via a wire.

well on the few HU's ive worked on the blue one was the remote wire, just connect that wire up to ur amps REM bit....its just a switch basically telling the amp when to turn on

so i pull the blue wire from the clip (which is connected to the headunit), and just connect it straight to the amp(via REM wire of course) ?

from the clip? isnt it just a wire coming from the back of the HU?

as already stated the remote wire is normally blue from the back of the h/u
if your unsure which wire it is there should be a diagram on the h/u or in the manual
just join the remote wire from the amp to this wire and your done
oh and dont forget to solder

i only have a black earth coming from the head unit, then i have a clip which holds many wires coming from the back of the head unit. Also, i am not soldering, i am just using connectors, but i would if i had a soldering iron.
i might try to find a diagram as i don't want to **** anything up lol

The clip has to be plugged in, and the rem wire needs to be connected to the strip of wire coming out of the back of the plug.
