have you disconnected your battery recently? or is the battery nearly dead ?

what happens when you disconnect the power source from the car is that it "resets" the ecu and the car must "learn" again. Select the sedan and 3.5.. then just let the car sit in ya driveway for 10 mins or so idling.

Then go for a drive and it should not stall when coming to a stop.

If you have to select what your car is everytime you turn the car on, i'd guess there is something wrong with your power source.

Good Luck buddy!

Is it just stopping or is it that the idle is too slow? Does it try and idle at about 500 rpm?

If its the idle speed check the idle speed servo.

Jezza did you try and do this?

This will most certainly will fix the problem

Just Disconnnect & Reconnect again, turn on your car and select 3.5L sedan and let it idle for 10 minutes. Trust me this has happened to myself and many other members.

I was going to say it could be your alternator but now your central locking isn't working.

so, its definately electrical then.

either take it to mitsubishi or an auto-electrician.

According to the manual IOD fuse is number 10, why would u take it to a dealer to change a fuse?

My mates TH Wagon had a similar problem - although he left it idling for 10+ minites after an ECU reset, it still wanted to stall and/or idle would fluctuate. The spark plugs were stuffed so after changing all 6 she's idling like a smoothy now. He's joined up here as rvrollla so if he sees the thread he might add more about what he did.

As I said earlier: Check your idle speed servo motor.

My car had that same problem. At that stage I was told My Idling motor was clogged and needed replacing.

But they were probably just trying to get money out of me.
