The overdrive off light on the mrs KR comes on when put into drive regardless of the position of the switch.

Is there a fuse/relay to change? etc

Strange thing is it will go out occasionally if i fiddle with the switch enough, however I dont believe the switch is at fault as I never fiddle with it and this just started doing it.

Ideas?

At least yours goes on, my o/d and a/t mode buttons dont light up

but least they work still, when I press them

That gives me an idea though, ill take it for a test drive and pay attention to the gear changes, and if in fact its simply the light screwing up then ill simply take the bulb out :)

theres a 10A fuse that says (4 SPD, A/T)

I'm assuming its for the o/d a/t modes

its in the 2nd row, 2nd from the bottom (if you have a fuse cap with the pics)

should say it on there

OK, took her for a drive today and heres what I determined:

- When O/D OFF light is on - Overdrive is ON

- When O/D OFF light is off - Overdrive is OFF

- In order to get O/D light to go off, switch must be held about 1/2 way in, if the switch is fully pressed of depressed overdrive will be ON but the light will say OFF. WTF?

So this leads me to think the connectors on the back of the switch may be loose, or the switch itself is buggered. How to I pull the little switch out to have a look at it???

Thanks fellas.

by the sounds of it you have a faulty OD switch

there are three cables that go into the overdrive switch, go to the wreckers and perhaps buy a new one, to get at it, un screw the back of the gear stick on the cover, then undo the screw on the stick in order to slide it up, hold onto the button (not od but the gear selector one) as you pull up gearstick as its got a spring and will shoot at the drivers door haha, the OD switch is screwed in, in order to get the switch out, unscrew it, pull it ouf of knob, and then you have to un solder the three wires (make sure you make note of what colours go where, write it doen for heavans skakes lol),
get your replacement one and slider it back in and put it back the same way,

and see if that helps,

oh btw i recently blew my economy button globe while i hat the dash out (putting in LED backlights from ebay :D) anyways you can tell when its in the od on or od off mode (same for economy/power mode) so they arn't all that vital lol if the switch for the od works fine and you don't want to do the small work to change the button then pull it out and not worry about it
