looking at putting some ford ba xr6 wheels on my tr magna. i know a few of you guys have done this. is their any problems i should know about and has anybody got any pics of their tr/ts with these wheels on. was their any problems with their weight as i assume they are a heavey wheel.
also have a problem with my current mags i keep on loosing nuts off the RHS wheel. don't know why as they are tight, but i see that another one has gone.

I've got them on my TJ, the only prob i've had so far is they stick out past the guards. and turned my car into a 4wd..i think you'll find your speedo will be out by about3-5 k's

yeah i had mine lowered on thursday 1.5 inch, no problem at all with turning at stuff, the only prob i had was that the springs were rubbing on my pod air filter mounts.

My TJII with them:

My old TR with them (note, car is not lowered):

Only problem i found with my TR was that they stuck out about 2-3mm, which is barely all, but if a cop wanted to be an a$$hole he could defect your for them (i'd been pulled over twice with them and they didn't say anything though). No rubbing or anything on them too. Wierd thing is the same wheels sit nicely inside the guards of my TJII, so I dunno why some 3rd gen owners can't fit them in.

I used to have these Ford BA XR 18" wheels on my RAV4
I test fitted them on my Verada and they did stick out past the guards

sh=t all these magna's look awesome with these mags. i can see i will have a set before the end of the week. only downfall with them is the weight. did any of you notice what your fuel consumption was like . mad4dog what was your tr like with them on performance wise.

My current wheels originally came from an xr6 ute:
- Yes they do stick out a bit
- I can't totally full lock or the tyres rub the inside of the guards
- I originally had super lows on the front with stuffed shocks, could only just fit your hand between the tyre and the top of the wheel arch. If i took a corner hard enough there was enough body roll for the top of the tyre to hit the wheel arch and make an awful noise.
- King lows, monroe gt's and a whitline strut brace fixed this
- These wheels did make my steering a bit heavier
- But they do look sweet

as much as i wanted to i decided not to go the BA way at this stage. instead went for some vrx rims ?? 16in with brand new firestone firehawks on . got them for my ssr's plus $100 which i thouight was a pretty good deal. now the car actually handles they hang on a lot better than the chinese tyres i was buying.
so thanks for all your help guys much appreciated.

Sounds like a plan :). Obviously mits rims will always suit your car better.
As for performance, made the steering abit heavier like what cobra said, but that's what happens when you go from 14 x 5 to 17 x 8 lol.
I had no rubbing issues though, but was travelling on stock suspension.
