i notice a clicking noise coming fm the left side of my car the other day while driving. it wasnt lud but wen ever i put my foot down or let the car roll, it makes a clicking sound but wen i put the breaks on the clicking sound isnt there at all. i thought it wasa cv joint but i checked the boot and didnt find a leak. well i checked the outter right boot. as i recently got the outter left one replace. plus the the noise was coming from the right side

Could be a loose brake pad or caliper.

Best to take it to a service centre and let them have a look at your brakes. Don't want to
mess with brakes unless you know what you are doing.

why is everyone thinking its his brakes?
at what rpm does it make the noise? put the car in nutral and rev to that rpm?
its obvioulsy happening when you do not have the brake on so its probably not them.

because the sound went away when the brakes are applied obviously with the car still
moving and the engine still turning.

what about when he's coasting?
sorry i retract that.... works making my mind numb.
check theres nothing caught b/w the disk and rotor aswell... may have something strange like a stick b/w a groove in your pad or something.
bizzare none the less.

you take it to a brake place that does free checks they tell you whats wrong and then you go fix it or go pay someone who is cheaper.
