Just bought a 95 KS VeradaEI with 207,000ms on the clock for $2000, having the CV joints replaced tomorrow as well as new brake pads all round and sports exhaust. Are there any specific problems i should be aware of?? Have noticed that motor has a bit of a tick to it domt know if that is tappet or lifter and car isnt that good on the road but putting that down to the CV's.

Great buy for $2000.
Sounds like your lifters need replacing. I've got that ticking going as well.
Faint but still a bit annoying.
Mainly the cv joints and valve stem seals that go bust on the Veradas/Sigmas.
Also, the roof lining, watch for that. It usually starts to peel off after a while

sounds like a bloody good buy for $2000!
Yep just watch for any smoke problems that occur, and yeah use a 20W-50 oil....Preferably penrite HPR 30 which Madmagna recommends for the worn stem seals

sorry to hi-jack but is it normal for a TS to have a knock at the front when going over a bump?

Nope doesn't sound normal to me?
What kind of sound is it?
Maybe your suspension is game over.

Thanks for the input guys, got the cv's done today and what a huge difference it has made to the car. The reason the car was cheap is because of the faded paint but thats not a worry when you have a good friend who is a spray painter.

Yeah my rada has that on the drivers wheel. I'm putting it down to a buggered shock. Getten front ones changed soon. Its like the car itself hits the ground when you go over a bump or a dip in the road aint it .. scares the crap out of passengers :P

The knock you hear is a worn damper (shock)
This is caused by the fluid leaking and leaving an air pocket in the damper, replacement damers will greatly improve both handling and ride.
Make sure you use strut savers when you get new ones so they last also.

I was told my front suspension was completely "blown" by brakes plus n they wanted to replace springs and shockers for $450, no thanks, If I get new springs I get king lows.
