Im gonna change the power steering pump on the mrs KR on the weekend, just curious how much fluid I will require to refill the power steering? and is it OK to use transmission fluid or should I really go out and buy some power steering fluid?

Also, I dont have the car handy so I cant just go out and have a look, is there a seal or anything between the pump and whatever it connects to?

O-rings, I think 2 on the high pressure connection.

with mitsubishi's it is very important to use their specified auto fluids. but interesting enough, is that you can't use that fluid in the pwr steer system.

use transmax or i believe dexron 3 is ok.

Howwww do i get the pump out? Ive taken out the cam covers and the short 14mm bolt and long 12mm bolt holding the pump in

Now it just stays there
I really needa get this out ASAP as i think this is causing my pulley issues (may not actually be the pulley)

If you have disconnected both hoses then it should slide upwards in its mounting bracket. Perhaps its slightly twisted and wedged in the bracket.

i just disconnected the fuel rail thingy and it came right out....cbf bleeding the whole thing lol
