Ive had a problem with my wheel alignment for a while now. Basically it goes right, most of the time. On hills it will change and it generally feels pretty lousy. Ive had it at my mechanics a few time but also took it Heasmens Steering and they said it was crabbing (back wheels out of alignment). This was supposedly fixed but it still wanders. Any ideas?

Done that. Maybe have to get them swapped around on the rims as they are directional.

What size ar your tyres ?
Wider the tyres = greater the effect of tramlining.

my car tends to pull to the left, although i had new tyres and alignment done, i dunno... there hasn't been any unusual wear to the new set of tyres, i know for a fact with my old set of typres, with the alignment out, that set of tyres had signs of scrubbing

maybe it pulls to the left because of the camber on the road

maybe it wasnt done? did u get a print out?

they would have only adjusted the toe, are you sure your cambers and castors are alright?

Camber and castor have been checked numerous times. Its not tramlining, though it does that too. Anyone suggest a really good suspension/alignment place in Sydney(preferably not too far out)?

Bob Jane cause Nation wide 12 month warranty.

Spin the wheels over when jacked up, check for rim distortion, not only side to side but up and down. 4 wheel independent suspensions are sensitive to this. Change the tyre pressures by +4psi and -4psi and see if there is a difference. If there is could be one tyre delaminating allowing drift in the tyre pattern then sideways movement in the tyre wall.

Hope this helps

by law the ppl who do ur alignment (bs) they have to make it pull to the left a little incase u fall asleep at the wheel or somthing similar so that ur car will wander off the road instead of incoming traffic. so pulling to the left a litte is a good thing.

Swap front tyres left to right - only to test them - to see if it's a tyre structure matter. Seen this kinda problem before and it was due to the actual tyre.

They have the old fashioned wheel alignment machine where your whoeels sit on rotating platters. Apparently enable better alignments than the laser jobs - more flexible in taking readings I think.

Yellow pages, find someone that can do 4WS alignment. So that the rear end can be aligned (sedan) to the front. I know its not 4WS but back end can be aligned to front end.

Works great

Hope this helps
