Has anyone had their torque converter bolts come loose? My wife rang me up today saying that she had stuffed the motor. Got home and started the car and heard a knocking sound from the bottom end and thouht that it had dropped a bearing or something. So i decided to take of the flywheel inspection plate and stuck my hand on the torque converter and it moved then i checked the bolt and it was loose plus the other 2 as well. My headache dissapeared as well as the $ symbols as i started up the car and it was nice and quiet again.

Torque conveter and flywheel? Ummm first one says auto and second one says manual......what are you talking about?

Hes right, the torque convertor bolts to a flywheel or thust plate. It has the ring gear on it for the starter.

And no........never seen one do that b4, I'd be puttin a bit of loctite on the buggers so they dont do it again.:shock:
