Thanks for the help in the last thread, I now understand everything, my new 19's have been ordered

So...
The rolling diamater is legal as well is the upgrade, just when I think all is going well I find out I can't find a tyer in the 245/35/19 which has a load rating of 94 or greater
I have scanned all threads and some guy reckons that linglong and wanli plus some generic brand of yokies do, but on ringing around I find nothing.

I did find a 245/40/19 inch tyer with a load rating of 95, but this puts the rolling diameter out
So yeah is there any tyer out there that I or we don't know about which offers the above load rating in this size (245/35/19) ??? :doubt:

How much does an engineers certificate cost? Maybe this is an option.....

I'm looking at running Kuhmo KU31, if you read around including ls1.com.au, people can't stop raving about em :D

I had a hard time when i was looking at getting 19's too. Didn't wanna buy cheap korean crap so i got 18's instead. lol

Sorry, that isn't much help is it. I think your options are pretty limited.

I thought the same thing when looking at the Kumho Ecsta SPT (KU31) , but after some research i'm keen to give them a go! See here....

I also read some stuff on the ls1 site, some are saying it's better than some of the tyers they have had which were worth 3 times as much!
I'm yet to hear bad report on them although they are very new to the market, i was going to go hankooks instead but there road noise is a little to much for my liking.

there is tyres available with a load rating but not many that are well known names in australia, a decent tyre shop should be able to chase you up a semi decent tyre with the correct load rating

Reread your post. Never mind.

That's the tyer I was going to go but it puts the rolling diamater out, going by the calculator the 245/35/19 is the best fit (compared against stock tyer of 225/50/17)
If only I could find a damn tyer :doubt:

Thanks anyway.

Fulda Excelero comes in a 245/35ZR19 with a 93 load rating - I think you will find that at 19inch you won't require the 94 load rating, and that 93 would be sufficient. You would need this approved by an engineer. I think you will find in the car manual and on the tyre placard that it does indicate 94 load rating for a 17inch tyre

Otherwise they also come in a 255/35ZR19 with a 96 load rating, but these may be just that little too wide for a magna and may scrub.

Falken St115 also come in a 245/35ZR19 again with a 93 load rating.

I have both Falken and Fulda in the 18inch versions and am happy with each.

I will say that you should steer clear of the Wanli, and hell Linglong? what the hell is that, sure I bet that Porsche is itching to get a contract with that company for the latest 911.

This is the only legal 19inch tyer I could find for our cars, has a load rating of 100
It scores well apart from the wear, wonder how many kays you'd get out of a set?

They look alright. Looks like they'd be super soft tho and probably wouldn't last real long.

on a fwd magna im thinking about 15-20K if your lucky before they are seriously low on tread, but the mai thing is they would be legal as far as load rating etc... and the handeling would be fantastic...

remember though, 19's arent like 15's so there is little hope of finding a tyre thats going to last 100k for example, ive done 10k now on my 20's and they are still 95% but im sute thats cos the awd is a bit easier on them.... i've been told to expect 50K from them from someone else who had a set on a BA, although they are a much harder compound with way less grip than the yokies
