Awwww that sux mate!! i *** hate ebay, msg the seller back and let him know what has happened, he has 2 choices, refund your money or send you a new set, if he doesnt do either you will have to report him to ebay via the website!!
Good luck mate!

You should not ebay for the wrong reasons.
1. If you were smart you would have told that person to insure it.
2. You didn't is your fault for not tellingand not ensuring.
Just like me for bidding an item to find out its shipping cost a bomb.
So good luck.
You might claim from ebay, but it is way less from insured post.

Hmm, perhaps if he notified me that the postage did not include insurance perhaps? First of all he didn't even have the goddamn postage up until i requested it, then I had to wait for him to do it... the **** never even responded to any one of my messages, a complete load of ****, this is really depressing :(

eBay's not evil. But I will admit, there are some dodgey sellers and silly people (especially when packing is concerned).
You just have to be careful.
If the item is fragile, ask it to be sent insured or via Registered Mail (which includes $100 of insurance). Also tracks that the item was sent in the first place, and when the buyer receives it.
For me, if the item costs more than $50, we ask it to be sent registered - only costs about $2.50 more.
Always check people's feedback and the auction description carefully.
Always check the postage cost if listed and ask if not (if it's an odd item).
Always check the location and be careful if from overseas.
I personnally, will not buy from someone with a feedback of only 1 or 2. And we always email first if below 10 or so.
Always ask any questions before bidding.
Our ebay rating is over 200 which is not huge but does show we have bought and sold. and to be honest we have only had one or two non-paying bidders and one problem with a badly described item we bought. but we have picked up many more bargains and perfect items than bad experiences.
Getting back to your problem, try emailing the seller, if they deal in auto parts, they may have a single headlight or lens. Use some tact in the email, if you come on too strong, they'll just say stuff-you. Postage is usually the buyer's risk - that what insurance is for. But if the seller packed it silly, not sure? In the end, don't rate them until you have it resolved.

Refund will be taking place... all is well, the seller was very friendly and was happy to refund the set. I think I'll give him a positive rating for that.

Mate, you've been very lucky to get one of the many good ebay sellers.
Well done, great to hear. If he does the refund, he deserves the positive feedback.

I have to agree that he is lucky.
I hope you learn from THIS?
You ARE NOT the first guy WHO CRIED over broken lights. Do a search, you find other victims.
Always insure the shipping cost guys.
You cant just say Oh Ebay will refund. Yes they will but you get much less than you think.
Be more aware when dealing with fragile items such as parras. It doesnt cost much more to insure them.
Hope you get another set of parras.
