My clutch is starting to slip a lot. Its got to the stage where it is a pain in the ass to drive. I am looking at getting a heavy duty clutch. I have searched the forums and found that you can use a exedy heavy duty clutch but the flywheel needs to be machined out a little bit for it to fit.
Is there a heavy duty clutch i can get that will bolt straight up?

shaun from phillcom should be able to supply you with an extreme clutch, they're based on the exedy design and exceed it. I have one in my car and it's great, it's cushioned too so not to hard on my age-ing knee.
Another about 400$ to fit, i didnt have time to do my own.
I've never heard of the exedy problem either needing maching as they actually have designed that for a magna...

A lot of people will recommend that the flywheel should be machined when replacing a worn out clutch anyway.
Having said that - I didn't get mine machined when I repaced my clutch because it still had machine marks in it.

Fly wheel machining is only about $50. Ive got an exedy in my car, had it machined, works pretty well but does shudder some times.
