hey all
firstly i want to say i just spent a couple hours rummaging thru tons of threads about mufflers, and while i learnt a bit i still would love it if some1 could answer some q's.
i want a loudish muffler with a deep note, not a cannon, with twin tips. i dont know specifically what droning is, but im presuming its a (haha)drone sound when cruising at a certain speed.
so i found a 'straight thru' version and am just wondering if this is any good:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&item=320042600414&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
anyone used/heard about these before?
are twin pipes the way to go or doesnt it matter?
any1 got any info i should know before choosing/buying a new muffler that isnt on the FAQ page?
does the inlet pipe have to be similar to the exhaust pipe it feeds from?
how do i check to make sure my car doesnt already have a straight thru (bought second hand slightly modded)? would it be as simple as sticking something in to see if it hits anything?
is bolting on easy enough to do? (and if so, this is preferable)
sorry for the really simple basic questions, but i aim to learn!
thanks
oh and if this should be in a different section, i apologize.
