Hey I got a boring 4 speed auto as do prolly most of you just wondering can we get a 5 speed manual to drop in if so where from how much and all that jazz....

Course you can get a 5pd from a wreckers, and remember you have to get the whole clutch assmebly with the 2 clutch cylinders, flywheel and the drive n pressure plates, the selector, clutch pedal and a smaller brake pedal.

Its a big job, and i really dont know how much, cant see it being less than say $700, especailly if u get a new clutch. plus a few days installation.

On the plus side you can sell your old gearbox and the auto has a seperate computer? or would u have to change the whole bloody thing?

Now you need to find a manual gearbox at a wreckers somewhere (would your car be young enough to buy one direct from mitsubishi?)

i miss anything?

I was quoted $1000 for the parts from a reputable wrecker in Perth, thats excluding the box itself...

I promptly put that idea back on the shelf.

It might be a little more though for your car coz I have the very common 2.6L 4banger.
