Would anyone have any clue about how much a Genuine Mitsubishi Ralliart Magna Spoiler would cost? If not even a non-genuine one. It's just that they would look really mad on the back of a VR-X or Sports don't you think?
Thanks all,
Drei

Mine was $500 plus fitting and Painting... (2 years ago)
I fitted it my self and also painted it my self..
The after market ones like mine require more preperation to get the surfaces smooth... since they are made of Fibreglass and therefore have inperfections in it.. (they have air bubbles and divits etc)
Not sure of a new one from Mitsubishi... but I would guess juat over $1000..
Mine is an EVO VI one ... it has an adjustable wing compared to the Magna one which has a fixed wing.

You can check out mine in the WWW link below.
i got quoted $450 for an unpainted one like haydens, and my panel beater said he would paint and fit it for $150

What's involved in painting parts of the car (Bodykit, spoiler, etc) , especially by yourself. Also how much would that cost you? Is it worth it or is it better to get it done by a proffesional?

Side skirts, trims etc.. diy...
spoilers, wings, bumpers, ie large panels .. Professional help is required..
You can get away with the small bits as your small imperfections are covered by the fact that the part is also small...
But on a wing or spoiler then your small imperfections are compaound by the fact that you have so many of them and in a large area :D

I fail to see the point of installing a rear spoiler/wing on a FWD. I guess it roadholds better at high speeds, but then again the speed cut in the Magna is 220 (I was told, I've only reached 214).

Actually it can be used to help 1/4 mile times..............................
How? ... you ask.
Well if you angel the wing upwards... instead of the traditional downwards...
then you will be creating a negitive force.. making the rear of the car want to lift of the ground...
So it is "possible" that the force is then transfered to the front of the car causing it to push down and there for help with traction. :D
I'm not saying it is going to happen ... but in my logic it might work..
m2c..
OH and the reason I got my wing... I wanted BIG in YOUR FACE wing.... thats all.

:D Nice logic Tbutcher. Yeah I'd imagine most people would buy them for looks... although I'm of the opinion big f@*koff wings only look good on small, wide-body imports. :)
