Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has pictures they could post of a TJ fitted with 380 17inch SX, otherwise known as 380 series 1 VRX wheels.
I ask as I am considering putting some on my flame red TJ and wish to see how they look.
Before any body suggests it I do not wish to go any larger as I don’t wish to risk scraping alloys on gutters and I wish to keep it very legal with no ifs or buts.
If I go with these wheels I will be running 225/50 rubber not 235/45, as again I wish to keep it legal.
Thanks in advance.

Post a picture of your car and the rims and I, or someone else on here can put them on your car using photoshop.

Not that im trying to change your mind, but you may want to look into "legalities" a bit more.
It doesnt matter what size rim you go, as long as the width and the complete diameter of wheel and tire dont exceed manufacturers specification. hypethetically, you could have 22's on your ride as long as they had a profile tyre to match or fall between specs of manufacturer and the RTA.
have a look thru the RTA Wheel and tyre modification handbook.
this is what i learnt for NSW in less than 10 minutes of searching rta.nsw.gov.au
"Minor changes to wheels
Wheels up to 26mm wider than the largest optional wheel recommended by the vehicle manufacturer for the
vehicle can be fitted without the need to notify the RTA.
The outside diameter of the wheel and tyre combination must be no more than 15mm over the largest diameter
wheel and tyre combination specified for the vehicle and not more than 15mm below the smallest diameter wheel
and tyre combination specified for the vehicle."
so width cannot exceed 2.6cm or 1 inch
and diameter including tyre, cannot exceed 1.5 cm or 1 1/4 inches.
this is also the same as in victoria. They recommend you comply with whats stated on the tyre placard, but if these are unsuitble you can do almost whatever the hell you want.
either way, if you want me to photochop your car with em, just post some pictures.

Hello all,
Thanks to all those who have volunteered to do the Photoshop for me. I decided not to be lazy and do it myself even thou it has been over 7 years since I last used photo shop, and the pic is from my phone camera
Thanks Fourstar for your advice. I do already know all of what you have stated but I do not wish to prove this to an ill informed official, I just simply wish to have a very easy wheel upgrade option and stick with a wheel size combination that is in my owner’s manual. I know it seems crazy I just do not want any hassle.
I actually like what I have managed to Photoshop I think its simple clean and affective.
What does everyone else think?
