Hi guys,
Just wondering, can this crack be repaired?
It's just one single line coming down from about half way form the top of the windscreen down to near the bottom where it curves off.
I have no idea how it happened it just appeared this morning.
I've had many broken windscreens before from having arguments with the mrs but they all had to be changed because there was too many cracks.
If anyone can help :D
Cheers

youll probably find it will snake bigger and bigger, seems like to me you'll have to replace it.

My guess would be... No
Looks too long, appears to be your driver's side and expect it to grow.

Pretty much any big cracks over the drivers side you will need a new one. Thats what i have been told anyway.
No it cant be repaired.
Also, if its touching a side or within 2 inches it will need to be replaced anyway.

Nope can't be repaired and will need replacing. My advice is get it done ASAP, even though the chance of you crashing is pretty slim, can't be too safe having the windscreens strength compromised.

My best mate has been driving his VP commodore with a crack that goes from the bottom, to 3/4 of the way up the windscreen for about a year and a half...it's on the passenger side so he doesn't care, one of the reasons i hate being in his car.

Dangerous, in an accident the amount of force will break the glass and reflect on to all passengers.

Heh yeh i know, but after about the 20th time telling him i just stopped bothering, he just wouldn't listen anyway. I havn't been in his car since. But good thing is he doesn't drive it much anymore and is looking to sell it soon.
My point was though, even though something might seem obvious, sometimes it's not.

Damn! He drove around for 1½ years with a broken window?
If that's not tightass, then i don't know what is!
As for the window, is $220 reasonable? From o'brien? Cos that's how much i paid the other times. That's an okay price aye? :)

Get a few quotes by phone. Take the best one recommended by someone you know because some places can ruin your rubber.;)

dam, thats exspensive. i paid 180 for my TJ from o'brien. life time warrenty on it too(within reason, can't remember it). although, they did quote me around that price you said and then rung up 5 mins later and told me that they quoted me the price for another magna(TL i think)

even a scratch in your windscreen is a defect. You should pay 150 - 180 for a new one
