Heres an idea... whilst driving, drive, dont play PS2 8)
I sure just some Clarks Rubber foam surrounding it should be fine, I doubt you would have to reinforce it internally.

Those blue gel packs that are used for sports injuries etc are very good. In the IBM industrial series of notebooks they use small gelpacks to insulate the hard disks.

hehe nah i dont wanna play ps2 while driving.. its more for the passengers (be good to watch movies while going on long drives too) thanks for the ideas guys. Liquid cushioning would be cool (so long as it doesnt leak). Ill have to try both out and see. Now to go remove my front bar so i can get into the car audio shop to get my tv installed tomorrow :D

HAHA welcome to the world of kits that make your car tooooo low :D
I had to remove mine to get a wheel alignment :D
I also carry two of these... which were used as well to get the car "safely" onto the hoist.

in the pic I rolled back onto them... I normally drive onto them. .. it also helps to get the trolly jack under there ... other wise I would have no chance!

Try some of the anti-vibration stuff at bunnings.
Works damn well.
You can buy it in strips.. dont know how much you would need though.
i got my ps2 sitting under the passenger seat with a strap holding it in place, doesnt skip at all, got autobarn to install it 4 me

You dont need to use anything to stop vibrations, I have a pc Built into my car and my hard drive (which would have been the first thing to go) is still running fine
