Hi,

Some of you may have read my accident with my TH Advance and all the problems im having after getting it back...The latest is that there is a squealing sound from the engine area. It comes on when I start the car. Also it makes that sound when I depress the accelerator and once im up to speed its ok.But its very very loud when the a/c is on. Its like a high pitched squealing sound which rises in tempo with rise in speed. I think it may be a belt that is not put on tight enough or something like that but im not sure... I think they have changed one of the belts also.. Its not the same one as when I brought it in after the accident. Although I dont know how im going to prove it to those bastards that fixed the car. When you look at the engine from the front, its one the left, the big one out of the 2. Im guessing some of you guys may know what that sound is..

Thanks

its just a loose alternator belt. all that it needs is a slight adjustment to tension it. Wont cause any problems.

Well the alternator belt isnt the same. There is a slight crack in it which im sure will expand over time and over the edges the threading is coming off. Its not the same one as when I got the car back from them......

well then thats whats causing the squealing. Think its around 30 or so dollars to replace from memory
