Hi,
Welcome to the forums.
The only real bodykit made fot the first Gen Magna's was the one fitted to Elante Models, perhaps you could try some wreckers and see if they have any available.
Otherwise www.ssv.com.au have rear wings.

Before you start spending money on this car, think about how long your planning on having this car for.
I wish I had have, and if I did, I would be driving a 96 verada...

Yeah its just starting to get harder to get parts now, I tried hunting down an engine mount bracket for the passenger side engine mount the other week, not one wrecker had one....
(locally anyways).
When I get the new car, i am keeping my tp for hubbys work car, but realistically I dont know how long for. I dont want to trade it in and get zero for the old girl and if i sell it privately I may be able to push to 3000 grand for her, but then what have i got for that sort of cash, nothing better than what I got now, its just I know all the probs this car has got.
Not saying that these cars arent nice done up, but think about saving the dollars and maybe buying something better down the road.

you would be extrememly lucky to get that,
I only managed to get $4500 for my 96 Te Sedan, in fantastic condition with 155,000kms

Make sure you and the previous owner filled out one of those transfer papers. It doesnt matter if the car is registered or not you MUST fill one out or you will go through so much crap to get the car in your name. Trust me. I went through it.
Also, before taking your car over the pits for inspection. Get these things checked or it will fail. I know because once again, i went through it.
Tyres have to be legal
All lights working including the little number plate light
Windscreen squirters must be working same for the wipers
Check for oil leaks
Tie rods
Noisy wheel bearings
brakes ( they didnt say anything about my rotors but its best to get them checked too)
The actual rubber pads on the pedals cant be warn
Make sure your seat belts aren't twisting and they must retract after being pulled.
Seat belt must click in without using two hands ( mine had a strange thing where you had to put it in then click the button. I got away with it i told the guy its a mitsu thing)
Windows
Seats must be bolted in properly
You must have a battery clamp
Also, before you take it down, go and get a permit so you are allowed to drive it there and while you are there, pay for the inspection so you dont have to do it at the inspection. It takes a while.
They DO ask for the permit.
Go early because you will be waiting in line for at least 3 to 4 hours.
Good luck :D

Yeah the wiper blades did not pass and so did the front two tires, oh well, if i fix those problems as the inspector mentioned within teh 2 weeks i wont have to pay another $47 for a blue slip. Anyways heres the list of things that my car did not pass:
Comments/repairs needed
passenger side headlight
2 front tyres
wiper blades
rust n/s front guard
front engine mount
I hope it won't cost me that much to repair....as therefore i only get paid every fortnight. :P
Many THanks

When i took my car to get it inspected, the guy there said "Oh look a magna. I bet it smokes up the place" and then when he started it and noticed no smoke he said "HA! its got no smoke because its already burned all the oil!" lol

LOL  I gotta admit Magna's are more reliable than Holden Commodores......Commies are more fuel hungry than magnas.......tell me if it's not true :P

I hate to rain on your parade but I get more bang for buck out of the VP commie than my TP magna.

He means his VP misfires alot more than his TP, hence BANG! :) lol

i'd disagree... magna fuel economy > commodore VP fuel economy

i'm guessing its a hole, not just surface rust.
cut the rust out and file back to where u have some decent metal.
go down to your local car shop and buy some car bog and bog up the hole. make sure you have a putty knife to get enough bog in there and to smooth it out. sand the bog back smooth.
while you're at the car shop, get some undercoat and a presure pack spray can of your cars colour and paint the bog.
do it right and the car will look good. do it bad and it will stick out like dogs balls and you'll have to do it all over again
have fun :D
