I'll do it for nothing. For a shop that's an ok price, does that come with a lifetime warranty?

dunno mate. have to ask them. i have that pesky AVWN thing. pretty sure i have to do everything by a licensed installer. otherwise i'd be hookin in right now. i'll call JB's tomorrow and see what they have to offer. otherwise i might head down to northfield and see if they can do something for me there. anyone had an insatll at any of these? just wanna get a good quality install done.

if it doesnt void my warranty...who's up for a feed and some drinkage and an afternoon of swearing because **** doesnt fit where it should.......

DONT go to JB, go to a proper audio shop. You'll have alot less headaches. But in all honesty, it's always better to do the job yourself/get a mate to help out as they care more about your car than any shop will.
I'll be up in exactly 30 days if you can wait that long and i'm happy to install it for you.

yeah that's true. mates usually take care with your gear.

cheers for the offer mate but i am too impatient and want it done now!!:bowrofl: :bowrofl: nothing worse than having a stocko system in with a good system waiting in the wings. more than happy to slap you in the passenger seat to have a listen when you come up though :D . i reckon it should fairly crank. well i am hoping so anyways.

moving down to vic soon. where abouts are you mate?

yeah what M4DDOG said,
dont get jb to install it cause who knows how good there installs are
if your keen on doing it yourself have a good its not that hard to install audio gear
the h/u and spearkers you can do yourself but when it comes to amps you might want someone around who had done it before

with an AVN system u might wanna get a licensed installer to do it, to keep/improve the warranty on it.

well y dont u do the 6x9's urself and then get them to do the rest??

for my amp, h/u and sub i paid 200 here in vic so theres a rough guide for ya, i think the H/U was 80 and the amp 120.... so 180 for 6*9's seems a bit steep...

i'll be in toowoomba in a few weeks ... i'll do it there if you want and you wont loose your warranty ... if they ask just say i done it at work ... easy peasy

should'nt take that long and i can do up a dummy reciept if need be

could always take it to autobarn capalaba, there is actually a amc members car there at the moment getting a custom boot install done atm moment, but due to the quality of work you need to book but two and a half weeks in advance

hahaha. moving down in january to the fitzroy carlton area.

got the head unit in today. freakin awesome. got it done at the WOW superstore in annerly in brisbane. $85 all up. guys were cool as explained everything to me about how to hook up the sub and offered a come back for free if i need any advice on anything. gonna do the rest of it myself. prety confident i can get it all wired up. did the sub in my ute and it hasn't burst into flames....yet. :bowrofl: :bowrofl: which is for sale by the way. will post it in the for sale section. 1000w RMS dual voice coil fahrenheit 10 inch.

thanks for all the offers for install too. really appreciate it guys. co-incidently...i called AVWG and the stereo has nothing to do with the warranty.
