Hey all

Firstly, this is not an add, well it kinda is but nothing to with anything I earn money from, I just wanted to share it with all of you as car detailing clay seems to be fricken dear to buy.

I just purchased some clay bars direct from a seller on ebay. I purchased them directly from him as I wanted 2 types of clay and spray lubricant and that was not part of the add.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200042431858&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:AU:1

I got the following products
I x 500gm as per the add
1 x 500gm of the new car version
1 x 750 ml of the spray lubricant you use with them and delivery for XX dollars. under $100.00:bowrofl: :bowrofl:

Yeah it's cheap I know but if you read the exerps below from various emails we exchanged it seems it is the real deal. and it's worth taking the punt for the price.lol
I mentioned that I was a member of Amc (I was previously known as smj276) and that I would make a post about the clay when I recieved it. well I havn't got it yet, he said it would be in the mail tomorrow, but I am posting this in good faith.

email exerpt...

I have had no experience with using clay so I won't be able to tell you if it is better or worse than Maguires you will have to wait for the Pictures. Uni finishes soon so it will be in a couple of weeks.

Clay bar is $35 with detailer spray. Why would I pay $100??

cause I didn't pay that much, it was $42 shipped but I am unsure if it was a super special or not, hence the $100 so I don't get shouted down by some one who gets charged more than me. call it self preservation
Oh and there is 1kg of it (2 different tyes 500 grams for my 10year old falcon and 500 grams for my TL) as well as 750mls of car detailer, follow the ebay link.

now to find out how to store it

where have you been able to get the 3M clay. I've read on the OCAU forums that people have some troubles sourcing it, you wouldn't happen to have a supplier would you??

clay bar basically picks up all the crap thats left on you paint. atm if you do like a normal wax or polish you do remove dirt and crap from the paint but there still is dirt left behind and your just poliching that. so if you go over your car with a clay bar it pics up all the dirt specs and all and leaves you with a kinda clean paint. then when you wax that area your actually waxing a clean paint surface so you will get a better result.

someone here will come up with a better explaination if you dont understand wat i mean :)
