Hey all,

Just wondering i have been looking at getting something to monitor everything in my car

I have found this (http://perfectrun.com.au/performance%20parts/electronic%20controller/analyzer/BLITZ%20R-VITi-Color.htm)

It works out to be about $420 AUD shipped

See Details below

My question is will i be able to fit this and use it too its advantage.

BLITZ R-VIT i-Color (Multiple Data Monitoring Device)

1. Outstanding visibility on 65,000 full color screen. Also unit features 32bit OS.

2. The unit can be plugged into on-board self-diagnosis connecter on various Japanese cars (including the latest CAN-bus communication system on new LEXUS / TOYOTA cars) and doesn't require any complicated wiring job.

3. The unit can show the following 30 kinds of factory ECU reading values and maximum 6 reading values can be shown on the same display.

Speed, rpm, Water temp., Ignition timing, injector spraying time, Intake air temp., Outside temp., airflow voltages, Intake manifold pressure, Boost pressure, 2 types of O2 sensor readings, 2 types of A/F correction readings, Intake air quantity, Battery voltage, Throttle sensor signal, ATF temp., Gear position, 4WD torque ratio, Fuel pressure, Momentary fuel consumption, ECU Self-Diagnosis, Lock-up, Fuel pressure control, Fuel injection quantity control, electric cooling fan control, Optional temp. sensor (x1), Optional pressure sensor (x1) or AF Box (x1)
(Depending on the car model, not all the readings can be shown.)

4. Optional A/F Box, temperature sensor and pressure sensor can be connected, so R-VIT i-Color can show Air/Fuel ratio reading, water temp., oil temp., oil pressure, etc...

5. The unit features Recording/Replaying functions.

Be careful....a global standard for diagnostics doesn't seem to have been achieved yet, even though the US has had the OBD2 standard since 1996, and there are Euro and Japanese versions. There still seem to be some proprietary manufacturers versions lurking around.

I'd get a firm confirmation that it will work with your vehicle before purchasing.Don't assume that Oz vehicles are fitted with the same ECU systems as vehicles sold in the US, EU and Japan.

You might even find that a lower cost generic scantool might do the job.

dude, just get an rsm. does the job, and is easy on the eye too.
at least that way, you know it is compatible...

erm in that case, you're better off just getting the boost gauge seperately. or see if u can get a Greddy Profec B working with your setup.... i doubt it, but u never know

any monitering devices should work with the magna. You just need to know where the right wires are in the car. speed, revs etc. all cars have these.

get a boost gauge in a chrome cup and put it on your A pillar. would look sick!
when ppl ask whats the gauge for and u say boost, they'll think you're the bomb.

monster tacho is a bit too much. i just got air/fuel and oil presure on my pillar, but can only see one from outside. personally i just like the look of one chrome gauge in the corner. keeps the oppositing guessing whats under the bonnet :D
