Time for a headunit for the new beast...

does anyone here have either of these headunits?

im tempted towards the alpine because they always sound brilliant, but the jvc is double din and dvd with screen...

im worried i wont get the same sq out of the JVC


i can get both for 740...jvc rrp around 1200 :confused:

another issue is finding a dash facia kit for either...my stock hu is larger than double din..but i can always just get it moulded so its not tooooo big an issue

so which one do you guys think?

I've been looking at getting a new unit as well and have been seriously considering the jvc, only thing missing of it is touch screen :cry: can ya get 2nd jvc for that price?? :)

this was a dealer price, but im also a jvc retailer so i could probably get hold of one for a similar price through work

i've got the 9855... great features.... but i'm soooooooo over the glidetouch bar... good gimic but its just too damn sensitive to use properly while driving.

if u wanna play with it in a car and stuff catch up with me out 1 night... u know my car now :)

another issue...if i get the jvc i have to pay ****loads for it to be moulded to the dash...

i have found a single din facia tho...looking at 80 bucks

i have a mate with 9852 or 9853 not quite sure. it has glide touch. the most annoying thing ever. VERY UN user friendly. gets annoying after a while. try ebay looking for ur head units u might find a bargain. thats where myself and another mate grab our head units from (brand new) half the price
