should fit i cant see any reason why it wouldnt as it shares the same head
also just wondering what mods do you have to acheive 16.2 and do you have any proof to back that up?

It will JUST fit, but if your back engine mount breaks, the bottom pipes of the intake manifold are going to slam hard into the firewall...
The plenum chamber section on the top of the pipes will fit no problem, but with a brand new engine mount, the bottom of the pipes sits maybe about 1-2cm from the firewall... I think stagma was interested in trying it out, so maybe contact him and see what he reckons. I was considering doing the change too, but I don't know whether I can be bothered with the effort, as there is a fair bit involved with a change like that.

that would have been for a EFI.
the carby manifold is probably the same on a gen1 as it is for a second gen.

Oops my mistake lol.. I haven't really worked with the carby ones before, but I know for sure that the EFI manifold would be a pretty tight fit anyway... It would be an interesting project for EFI though hehe..
Good luck!

hicomp pistons forged rods crow cam and springs, 2.5" mandrel exhaust, rpw extractors(car is in shop having custom ones made right now) 67mm throttle body fitted to ported plenum.
have done all the work myself except exhaust.
once extractors on and tuned i am thinking it will run bout 15.5 coz it will rev another 1000rpm at least.
oh yeah deleted the balance shafts etc
and ive got a ceramic button clutch (best thing ever) and all susp is stock

hard to say dont have exact figures but its cost a bit but its been over a year or so.
i probably could have just bought a fast car like most of the ****heads out there but i liked it and was sick of being told it would never be fast. meh i dunno just sumthing bout magnas!
the look on ppl's faces wen u smoke em its priceless.
i could also probably get into the 15's as it is now if i cut a hole in the bonnet for cold air intake but i dont want to ruin the sleeper look. as u can see pod filter straight on throttle body no CAI
