View Full Version : What other factory wheels can we use???
Ok, so we can use Ford Falcon rims.. what about Subaru WRX wheels? they go pretty cheap BUT they are 5x100. I've seen things like 5x100/5x114.3 - does this mean its the same? I was under the impression that the 100 or 114.3 was the distance between the studs but i'm in two minds from what i've seen. Also I note we can use EVO wheels, although its only the late evo Enkie wheels that I like, I'd hate to see what even bad second hand examples sell for, I'd be expecting a thousand easy where as WRX wheels are $500ish and I haven't found any XR6/8 rims around yet.
Tell me what else i can use! Thanks!

As long as it's 114.3 it'll fit on. Then you just have to worry about offset. So long as it doesnt stick out past the guards you're ok.
Why are you just looking for factory wheels though? There's tons of aftermarket ones that look ****loads better than factory ones.

:stoopid:
aftermarket ones would be bigger too. and you have a lot more variety.bob jane often have specials for 17" rims for like 800bucks with new tyres.... why not look into that.
by the time you buy your old wheels (that have big chunks taken out where someone had a disagreement with a kerb :doubt:) and then put on new tyres (at least $100 each) your looking at $900-$1000
do it right the first time.

From the speedy wheels website.
P.C.D. (Pitch Circle Diameter)The P.C.D. of a wheel refers to the diameter of an imaginary circle drawn through the centre of the nut/stud holes in the mounting face of the wheel.
An example of a P.C.D. is 5x120, where 5 indicates the number of holes (for studs/nuts) and 120, a diameter of 120mm.
So as KB said, you can only use 114.3.
I've seen things like 5x100/5x114.3.....
These are multistud rims or they offer the product in either PCD format.
What I'm thinking is people using XR8 wheels, I wouldn't buy some nice, heavy, ugly wheels from bob janes for a grand, the idea is saving money and getting something off a "sports" car, some items like R32 GTR skyline wheels are lighter and tougher than any aftermarket wheels you could get at that price. Problem is cash! If i had cash i'd go get some Lenso GT05's that i want but yeah i don't have 2k for wheels on a car that only cost 2k in the first place!@#!@#

Theres plenty of XR6 and XR8 rims for sale all the time.
Head over to www.fordxr6turbo.com
Look in the Market section..
They usually go for anywhere between $150 a rim or $200 with tyre.

Even cheaper sometimes, i scored mine for $400, in good condition with tyres (2 had 30% tread, 2 had 10%, but was enough for me to save up for rubber :)).
And they are a nice rim, i can find a pic of mine with them on if you're interested.

if you dont want big heavy wheels from bob jane then dont buy them.
If you avoid the bargain basement special wheels and ask a bob jane chap to help you choose and ask to feel the weight of the wheels you wont have any issues.
bob jane have some crap and some qual :) you just gotta choose wisely

Here's a quick list of Stud Patterns.
Just look for the cars with: 5 X 114.3

Thanks guys.
They 200sx wheels do look decent. Wonder what they weigh?

I have set of these R32 GTST stock rims. Got them for $100 but you could probably find them for a hell of a lot cheaper.
Not the best looking rims in the world, but they are pretty light.
