Hey all,

Well I went out and finally bought some splits for the front. Ive decided on trying out the full Cadence range.

What i want to know is. Can I mount the X-Over panels in the boot of the car? Will it affect the quality in any way or cause any interference?

These are what i got ..

Cadence Specs on US Site. (http://www.cadencesound.com/action.lasso?-Database=Products&-Table=WEB&-ResponseAny=drivers_detail.html&-token.sub=&-token.comps=ZX-&-KeyField=ID&-KeyValue=236&-search)

Hi Bain

You shouldn't have any problems mounting the crossovers in the boot it just means more wiring is needed. Speaker wire doesn't pick up noise like rcas so you don't need to worry about the additional distance. Be aware that the crossovers can actually pick up noise so avoid having them to close to anything electrical. I actually have my massive mbquart crossovers mounted on the side of my sub box.

Increase the wire gauge if you are installing the crossovers in the boot and the speakers in the front doors, as the voltage drop would be more considerable than if they were both together. As long as you increase the gauge the signal drop should be minimal.
