do TJ tail lights fit in a TE? they look the same in photos to me but i wanna check because im looking at some on ebay. can yous guide me in the right direction

NO, you need a TJ boot for them to fit properly

Get yourself familiar with the 3rd Gen models

Most part TE,TF,TH KE,KF and KH goes together

The TJ and TL have different bootlid designs.

You can fit TJ taillights on a TF bootlid, i've seen it on more than 1 car. The problem is the tailights stick about in the middle.
