heya not all that bright with car audio but jus wandering if this amp will power these 2 subs sufficiently, eg; make the purchase and not be too dissapointed?

The Amp is a Sony Xplod XM2165GTX. Im open for offers for this. Specs as follows:
-2x330 watts or 1x1000 watts power
- 2/1 Channel Amplifier
- variable low pass filter
- 50-300Hz
- 2 x 165W or 1 x 400W
- Frequency response
- 5-50,000Hz
- MOSFET output stage /power supply
- 2-ohm capable

you have got any more info on the subs do ya?
just need to know if they are 4ohm or 2ohm subs
if they are 2ohm subs then that amp will be fine but then again 4ohm subs will still work

the 2 subs i will be running are 4ohms
1000w max/400w pioneer

just brought these 2 today off an amc memeber today in sa

so each sub is 4ohm correct?
if they are 4ohm just wire each one as 2ohm and get your self a 2ch mono block
should be enough to run them sweet :D

well theres another way to wire your subs up but it will give you a 4ohm load when it hits the amp that might be the best way as you only need a decent monoblock to run them
when chosing an amp try to match the rms of the subs or better still have extra power just incase you plan on upgrading in the future
as for the price it really goes down on how much you wanna spend
